Sankara is planning to screen around 6 Lakh children over a period of 2 years and provide spectacles, medicines and glass corrections wherever required. 320,000 children are blind in India and in addition, an estimated 9.2 million children are visually impaired. Rainbow and Swagatham are the two programs that provide comprehensive eye care for children of all ages and will benefit from this joint proposal from the Rotary clubs across US and India.
